Context

We are currently looking for a Data Analyst to support the project "GeoData Simplification". The project aims to optimize and simplify GeoData by ensuring cleaner structures, reducing redundancies, and creating a more efficient data exchange framework.

As a Data Analyst, you will provide key insights on the existing usage of our Dataflows, Data Objects, and Properties. You will help identify duplicated information and streamline the guidelines to feed the flows. You will also contribute to establishing the necessary governance framework, including Data Quality Measurements, data definitions, usage guidelines, and roles & responsibilities. This governance framework will facilitate the proper implementation of the cleaned GeoData Specification across IT systems and Business Units.

Missions

  • Work with the project team, IT PMs, and Business Units to clean and clarify Transactional Data Flows based on the Data Flow Standard GeoData.
  • Analyze the structure of Data Flows, transferred data, and usage by Geopost IT & Business Unit applications.
  • Identify unused, redundant, and unclear Data Objects and properties to propose simplifications and drive necessary adaptations.
  • Provide insights on how data structures are used, identifying data mismatches and misalignments with existing definitions.
  • Build data quality measurements to support change management and implement identified optimizations.
  • Collaborate within a three-person project team, supported by the Process, Standard & Master Data team.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of transactional datasets to identify inconsistencies, gaps, anomalies, or structural issues.
  • Share findings and analysis results with stakeholders (IT, Marketing, OPS, Customs & Sales) and Business Units, supporting them in building action plans to fix detected anomalies.
  • Clean GeoData Data Model, Data Catalog & Data Flow Specification.
  • Support Data Consumers (Geopost & Business Units) in creating Data Use Cases.
  • Define and validate GeoData Data Guidelines.
  • Document Transactional Flow (GeoData) Data Models, business rules, Data Use Cases, Data Guidelines, and clear Data Catalog entries.
  • Set up Data Quality checks for Transactional Data Structure to support follow-up on implementation of agreed adaptations.
  • Contribute to governance routines.

Tools & Environment

  • Python (mandatory) for automation and analysis; R is a plus.
  • Strong command of SQL.
  • Data analysis tools such as Dremio, Strategy, and Kafka Topics.
  • Experience with data processing or ETL concepts.
  • Experience with data modeling concepts (entities, attributes, hierarchies) and UML.
  • Experience supporting data migration, testing, and validation activities is appreciated.
