About the Role

Backdropsource is looking for a Data Analyst Intern who is analytically curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with real business data from day one. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to digital analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting in an e-commerce environment.

You will work closely with the marketing and business teams to track performance, build reports, and derive actionable insights that influence decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst Intern, you will:

• Track, analyze, and interpret website and campaign performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

• Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio (Data Studio) for business reporting

• Work with large datasets in Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning,

VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.)

• Assist in creating visual reports in Tableau for leadership and marketing teams

• Monitor key business metrics such as traffic, conversions, ROAS, CAC, and user behavior

• Support the marketing team with performance analysis for paid campaigns

• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities from data

• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports

Required Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

• Basic to intermediate understanding of Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

• Hands-on experience with Looker Studio dashboards

• Strong working knowledge of Advanced Excel

• Familiarity with Tableau (basic to intermediate level)

• Ability to work with numbers, charts, and datasets

• Logical thinking and problem-solving ability

• Good communication skills to explain data in simple terms

Preferred Background

• Students or fresh graduates in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields

• Prior internship or project experience in analytics is a plus

• Interest in digital marketing or e-commerce analytics is preferred
