Job Description: Data Analyst Intern (MS Excel)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst Intern with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining data, cleaning and validating spreadsheets, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day data management activities using Excel only.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain data in Microsoft Excel.
• Clean and validate data to identify duplicate, missing, or incorrect entries.
• Use Excel formulas and functions to perform calculations and data analysis.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports using Excel.
• Create and maintain Pivot Tables, charts, and summary reports.
• Use VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, COUNTIF, and other relevant Excel functions.
• Apply filters, sorting, conditional formatting, and data validation.
• Reconcile data from multiple Excel sheets and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality.
• Support the team with ad hoc reporting and data-related assignments.

Required Skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of formulas, functions, Pivot Tables, and lookup functions.
• Basic knowledge of data cleaning, formatting, and validation.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
• Graduate or pursuing graduation in B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc., or a related discipline.
