Data Analyst (Inventory & Business Analytics)

Job Purpose

Responsible for analyzing sales, inventory, replenishment, product assortment, and store performance to support operational and business decision-making. The role combines data analytics, data engineering, process automation, and business analysis, with a strong focus on improving stock availability, inventory efficiency, replenishment processes, and store productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory & Replenishment Analytics

• Analyze inventory levels, stock allocation, warehouse-to-store movement, and replenishment performance.
• Monitor stock availability, OOS, inventory turnover, and stock efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory and replenishment processes.

2. Sales, Store & Product Analysis

• Analyze sales and business performance by store, department, SKU, store type, and store size.
• Monitor key KPIs such as sales, Gross Profit, transactions, and turnover.
• Analyze SKU productivity and product assortment performance.
• Evaluate opportunities for SKU or category additions, removals, and reallocations.

3. Data & Process Automation

• Extract and analyze data from operational databases using SQL.
• Clean, transform, validate, and prepare data from databases, Excel, CSV, and other business data sources.
• Develop or improve automation tools for recurring data processing, reporting, and validation.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency.

4. Business Support & Collaboration

• Translate business requirements into analytical requirements and measurable KPIs.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Work closely with cross-functional and regional teams to align reporting and business processes.
• Present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics or related fields.

• Knowledge of sales, inventory, replenishment, OOS, turnover, assortment, or store performance is preferred.

• Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX, is a plus.

• Experience developing automation tools or improving manual business processes is preferred.
