Job Description: MIS & Data Analyst (Recipes, Barcodes & Inventory Operations)

Role SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical MIS / Data Analyst to manage our core operational data systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between production recipes (Bill of Materials / BOM), inventory stock control, barcode/SKU generation, and ERP reporting. You will ensure 100% data accuracy across our product lifecycle, from raw material formulation to final barcode scanning at the retail and warehouse levels.
Key Responsibilities

• Recipe & BOM (Bill of Materials) Management:
• Maintain and update master production recipes, ingredient proportions, and sub-assemblies in the ERP/inventory system.
• Analyze production yield variance, material consumption vs. output, and cost per batch to identify wastage or inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with the production and quality teams to ensure all new product variants or festive packages have accurate recipe structures configured in the system.
• Barcode, SKU & Master Data Management:
• Manage the generation, assignment, and lifecycle of barcodes (EAN/UPC/Internal) and SKUs for all new and existing products, gift hampers, and seasonal boxes.
• Ensure seamless mapping of barcodes to correct product descriptions, pricing, weights, and inventory categories in POS and ERP systems.
• Conduct periodic audits of barcode scannability and master data integrity across retail stores and warehouses.
• MIS Reporting & Analytics:
• Design, generate, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports covering inventory turnover, stock-outs, fast/slow-moving items, and production planning metrics.
• Track batch tracking, expiry dates, and shelf-life data to minimize stock write-offs.
• Build automated dashboards (using Excel, Power BI, or SQL) to provide leadership with real-time visibility into production costs and inventory health.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with warehouse managers, store supervisors, and the finance team to reconcile stock discrepancies, physical audits, and billing errors.
• Support e-commerce and retail operations with accurate catalog data updates, weight declarations, and nutritional/recipe data alignment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience as an MIS Analyst, Data Analyst, or Inventory/Operations Analyst, preferably within FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Retail.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, Power Query).
• Hands-on experience with ERP/Inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Zoho Inventory, Tally, or custom retail POS systems).
• Familiarity with barcode standards, GS1 guidelines, and SKU taxonomy.
• Basic SQL or database querying skills are a strong plus.
• Competencies:
• Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills regarding supply chain bottlenecks and stock discrepancies.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment with seasonal demand spikes.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
