Data Analyst | Retail | Dublin (Onsite)

Connexus Recruit is partnering with an established retail business to recruit a commercially minded Data Analyst based in Dublin.

Working closely with commercial teams, you’ll turn sales, product, pricing and promotional data into practical recommendations that improve performance. This is a hands-on role with scope to own your analysis, challenge existing approaches and introduce smarter ways of working.

The role

• Analyse sales, margin and product performance to identify opportunities for profitable growth.
• Evaluate pricing and promotional activity, explaining what’s working and where changes could improve results.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports and performance updates that support commercial decisions.
• Investigate trends and answer business questions through clear, actionable analysis.
• Partner with colleagues across commercial, finance, marketing and operations.
• Improve reporting processes through automation and explore practical applications of AI.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• At least 2-3 years’ relevant experience in commercial analysis, data analytics, pricing, category analysis or business intelligence.
• Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with Power BI.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to explain what the numbers mean for the business.
• Confidence working with large datasets and checking the accuracy of your analysis.
• An inquisitive, proactive approach: you ask questions, investigate problems and suggest improvements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Retail or FMCG experience is desirable.
• SQL, Python or experience automating reporting would be an advantage.

You’ll work close to the commercial decisions your analysis supports, with ownership of your work and room to introduce new ideas.

This role is based onsite in Dublin, five days per week.
