Data Analyst Supervisor

About the role

INGCOPH Traders Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst Supervisor to join our Information & Communication Technology department on a full-time basis. Based in Caloocan City, Metro Manila, this is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing data analytics operations and guiding a team of data professionals. In this role, you will bridge technical expertise with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring data-driven insights support critical business decisions across the organisation. You will play a pivotal part in establishing data governance standards, optimising database administration practices, and developing your team's capabilities to deliver high-quality analytical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of data analysts and database administrators, providing coaching, performance feedback and professional development opportunities
• Oversee the design, development and maintenance of database systems and data warehouse infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
• Lead the analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
• Monitor database performance and implement optimisation strategies to improve query efficiency and system reliability
• Develop and maintain documentation for database schemas, analytical processes and data workflows
• Prepare and present reports and dashboards to senior management and non-technical stakeholders, communicating complex data insights in an accessible manner
• Manage database security protocols and ensure appropriate access controls are maintained
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data analytics and database administration

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' professional experience in data analytics or database administration roles
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle)
• Demonstrated expertise in data modelling, ETL processes and data warehouse design
• Proficiency in data visualisation tools (such as Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms)
• Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and business intelligence methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex data issues
• Experience with version control systems and collaborative development practices
• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud-based database platforms (such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and experience with Python or R programming languages
