Data Analyst (US Financial Planning & Analysis)

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Reporting

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards for operational and performance reporting.
• Develop data models that link financial and operational datasets (e.g., revenue, costs, productivity metrics).
• Translate data into clear insights and business drivers for decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of reported data.

Data Integration & Transformation

• Extract, clean, and transform data from ERP systems and other business sources.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Power Query (M language).
• Structure datasets to support scalable and flexible reporting.

Performance Analysis

• Support FP&A team with trend analysis, variance analysis, and performance monitoring.
• Identify key drivers, patterns, and anomalies across datasets.
• Contribute to the development of data-driven models for business insights.

Dashboard Development

• Create interactive dashboards using DAX measures and visualization best practices.
• Design user-friendly reports for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Continuously improve dashboards based on feedback and evolving requirements.

Collaboration & Offshore Support

• Work closely with US-based FP&A stakeholders and Financial Accounting stakeholders.
• Communicate insights effectively to both technical and business audiences.
• Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines.

Job Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree holder in Accountancy, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.

• Has an experience in operational performance reporting or business analytics.

• Has an exposure to FP&A processes such as budgeting, forecasting, or performance tracking.

• Background in shared services environment is a plus.

• At least 3 years of experience in Power BI, reporting, or data analytics.

• Strong hands-on experience in:

  • Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)
  • Power Query (M language)

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, Power Pivot).

• Experience working with ERP or business systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.

• Familiarity with SQL or data modeling concepts is a plus.

• Has the ability to interpret and connect financial and operational data to support business insights.

• Has an understanding of key business drivers such as revenue, cost behavior, and performance metrics.

• Has the ability to translate data relationships into structured models and meaningful reports.

• Familiarity with financial reporting concepts is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Ability to work independently in an offshore setup.

• Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset.
