Data Analyst – Water Systems & Operational Technology

We are looking for a Data Analyst with experience in water systems or Operational Technology (OT) to turn SCADA, telemetry, metering, and GIS data into actionable insights. This role supports predictive maintenance, performance reporting, NRW analysis, and decision-making for water boards and municipalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyse data from SCADA, telemetry, smart meters, GIS, and billing systems.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and automated reports for operational and executive stakeholders.
• Support predictive analytics for equipment failure, demand forecasting, and loss detection.
• Integrate data sources and improve data quality and governance.
• Collaborate with SCADA, GIS, and engineering teams on digital transformation initiatives.
• Prepare data-driven inputs for tenders, panels, and client reporting.

Requirements

· Degree / National Diploma in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

· Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, preferably in utilities, water, or OT environments.

· Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI / Tableau, SQL, and preferably Python or R.

· Experience working with time-series data, SCADA historians, or industrial data platforms.

Pay: R45 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Gauteng, Gauteng (City of Johannesburg)
