Data & AI Developer - Analyst

Palana is a leading Advisory, Managed Services and Technology firm based in Luxembourg, specialising in the investment fund and banking industry and broader financial services sector. We support leading asset managers, fund administrators and financial institutions across a wide range of asset classes.

As a Business & Data Analyst Trainee, you will join our Data & AI team and work alongside experienced professionals on reporting dashboards and regulatory reporting solutions, combining business analysis, data analysis and technology.

From day one, you will contribute to real projects while developing your understanding of data management, business requirements and the financial services industry. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, with close coaching and opportunities to progressively develop your technical skills and autonomy.

Your responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of reporting dashboards and regulatory reporting solutions.
• Assist in analysing and documenting business requirements, data flows and client needs.
• Use SQL to extract, analyse and validate data under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Contribute to testing and validation activities, helping identify data inconsistencies and reporting issues.
• Support the preparation of project documentation, reports and user guides.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in progress in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and a strong interest in data analysis and technology.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Curious, proactive and collaborative mindset with a genuine willingness to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Valid right to work in Luxembourg.
