Data and AI Lead

Business Data & AI Lead – LATAM | Mexico

I’m working with a global Consumer Health organisation looking for a hands-on Business Data & AI Lead to drive commercial data transformation across Latin America, initially focusing on Mexico before expanding into Brazil and other LATAM markets.

This is a business-facing leadership role, bridging commercial teams and technology to improve data quality, governance and harmonisation, creating the foundations for scalable analytics and AI.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead regional data transformation, governance, data quality and harmonisation initiatives.
• Take ownership of complex customer and commercial data challenges, reducing manual reconciliation and improving trust in reporting.
• Drive data migration, master data management (MDM) and analytics standardisation.
• Align local market priorities with global Data & AI strategy.
• Work hands-on with business stakeholders, data teams and architects to deliver measurable outcomes and enable AI adoption.
• Will be leading around 6-10 direct reports.

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including leading business-led Data & AI or data transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience across LATAM, with strong knowledge of Mexico and exposure to Brazil .
• Hands-on expertise in data governance, data quality, customer data, harmonisation, MDM and data migration .
• Strong commercial data experience across areas such as sales, customers, channels, pricing or product data.
• Previous leadership experience of small teams under 10.
• Technical understanding of cloud data and analytics platforms, such as Azure, Snowflake or Databricks.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive implementation across business and technology teams without relying on direct authority.
• Fluent English and Spanish required; Portuguese is a strong plus.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on transformation leader who can set direction, get into the detail and personally drive solutions not someone who operates purely at strategy or team-management level.
