What they need
Newmark is seeking a senior Data & Analytics leader to drive the strategic development and implementation of data, analytics and technology solutions across the business.
Based in London and working across the wider business, this individual will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between investment analysis, data and analytics teams, technology and senior business stakeholders. The role will be responsible for ensuring that data and analytical capabilities are fully aligned with business priorities, enabling better investment decisions, improving operational effectiveness and supporting the continued growth of Newmark’s Capital Markets platform.
This is a senior leadership position requiring a combination of commercial acumen, analytical expertise, technological understanding and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will act as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, translating business needs into actionable data and technology initiatives and driving their implementation across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and lead the data and analytics strategy across Newmark’s Capital Markets business, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance investment analysis, business performance and decision-making through improved use of data, analytics and technology.
- Establish a clear vision for how data and analytics can create competitive advantage and deliver measurable commercial value.
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape priorities, influence strategic direction and drive business-wide transformation.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key link between investment analysis, data and analytics specialists, technology teams and the wider business.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Capital Markets and other relevant business functions, understanding their requirements and translating these into practical solutions.
- Engage and influence senior leaders, securing buy-in for new initiatives and driving adoption of improved analytical capabilities and processes.
- Ensure that analytical outputs are relevant, commercially focused and embedded in business decision-making.
Leadership & Delivery
- Operate as a senior leader within the business, taking ownership of the data and analytics agenda from strategy through to execution.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and accountability, ensuring initiatives deliver tangible and measurable outcomes.
- Champion a data-led culture, encouraging the adoption of evidence-based decision-making throughout the organisation.
- Build and develop the capabilities, relationships and operating model required to support the ongoing evolution of data and analytics across Newmark.
The successful candidate will be an established data and analytics leader with a strong track record of operating at a senior level within a complex, commercially driven organisation. They will combine strategic thinking with the ability to deliver practical change, influence senior stakeholders and translate analytical capabilities into meaningful business outcomes.
They will demonstrate:
- Senior stakeholder credibility: Proven experience engaging, influencing and partnering with senior executives and business leaders.
- Strategic and commercial thinking: The ability to understand business priorities and translate them into a clear, commercially focused data and analytics strategy.
- Technology implementation experience: A track record of leading the implementation and adoption of technology platforms, data solutions and analytical tools.
- Change leadership: Experience driving transformation across teams and functions, overcoming resistance and embedding new ways of working.
- Strong analytical understanding: A solid understanding of investment analysis, business intelligence, data strategy and the application of analytics to commercial decision-making.
- Cross-functional leadership: The ability to connect technical specialists, investment professionals and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective delivery.
- Execution and accountability: A proven ability to move from strategic vision to implementation, delivering measurable improvements in performance, insight and efficiency.
The role will suit an individual who can operate at Partner or Director level, combining the credibility to influence senior leadership with the drive and practical expertise to implement meaningful change. The successful candidate will be instrumental in connecting investment analysis with the wider business, unlocking the value of Newmark’s data and analytical capabilities, and helping define the next stage of the organisation’s data-led development.
