Role Summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented Product Data & Customer Support Coordinator to manage the day-to-day flow of CPG brand and product data through the client's product catalog platform while providing exceptional customer support. This hybrid role combines hands-on data management with customer-facing coordination, requiring someone who thrives in a technology-heavy environment and can seamlessly move between platforms, manage workflows, and deliver outstanding service.
The client's platform is the comprehensive product catalog for the natural products industry. You'll be responsible for loading products, resolving customer inquiries, and troubleshooting data pipeline issues across the catalog platform, Salesforce, custom-built platforms, and industry data systems.
Core Responsibilities
Data Operations
- Product uploads: Prepare, validate, and upload CPG brand and product records into the catalog platform, including product images and data fields.
- Pipeline troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve data pipeline issues across multiple platforms to ensure products display properly on the catalog; trace causes across exports and status fields, and drive resolution or escalation.
- Data hygiene: Catch and correct data errors (duplicate GTINs, malformed IDs, incorrect taxonomies, mislabeled fields) using defined validation rules.
Customer Support & Project Coordination
- Customer and supplier support: Manage the customer-facing inbox; answer customer and internal emails on onboarding status, data corrections, and product edits.
- Communication translation: Translate technical blockers into clear, customer-friendly responses.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 1+ years in data operations, product data management, catalog/product information management operations, or a data-heavy support/onboarding role
- 1+ years managing centralized Outlook inboxes with a customer-first orientation to provide professional and clear email support
- 1+ years working in remote environments with decentralized teams across multiple time zones
- 1+ years' experience with a CRM platform (Salesforce strongly preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Systematic troubleshooting habits: can follow a record across multiple systems and isolate where it breaks
- High attention to detail with identifiers and data integrity (product codes, IDs, category taxonomies)
- Tech-savvy: comfortable managing technology-heavy tasks and learning internal/proprietary tools in a dynamically changing environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills: comfort in customer service roles, with the adaptability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment and communicate solutions effectively
- Stable and reliable internet connection for remote work
Preferred Qualifications
- CPG, natural products, retail, or trade show industry exposure
- Advanced Excel/spreadsheet proficiency: lookups, joins across files, deduplication, and validating data across two sources (e.g., matching records between a system export and a master file)
Team Structure & Culture
You'll join a collaborative, customer-focused team that emphasizes adaptability, support, and a positive, service-oriented culture. The team's focus areas include customer service, project coordination, data operations, and internal support. They value team members who can wear multiple hats, solve problems creatively, and maintain a high standard of service excellence.
