About the Role

As our Data & Insights Analyst, you’ll ensure teams across the firm have access to trusted, valuable data.

Combining data engineering, analytics and business insight, you’ll strengthen our data capability and help turn complex information into meaningful insights that support commercial, operational and strategic decisions.

You will:

  • Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines across cloud-based and on-premises data environments.
  • Transform data from business systems into reliable datasets and analytical assets.
  • Monitor data quality and investigate integrity or consistency issues.
  • Support data governance, privacy, security and information management practices.
  • Analyse business, operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
  • Measure the adoption, effectiveness and business value of digital and AI initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting, analytical and data requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • At least three to four years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering or a related field.
  • Strong capability in SQL, data transformation and reporting environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI or similar modern data platforms.
  • The ability to analyse complex datasets and communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
  • An understanding of data governance, privacy, security and quality principles.
  • Experience working across functions and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience.

You’ll be curious, analytical and commercially aware, with strong attention to detail and sound judgement when working with information.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the firm, partner with a wide range of stakeholders and deliver practical solutions that improve decision-making, service delivery and the experience of our people and clients.

This position reports to the Digital Platforms & Innovation Manager and is ideally based in Dunedin, although candidates based in our other office locations will also be considered.
