DATA AND SUPPORT ENGINEER

Position Overview

The Data and Support Engineer is responsible for supporting the organization’s data analytics, business intelligence, ERP systems, and day-to-day IT operations. The role combines data analysis and reporting with technical support, ensuring that business users have accurate information, reliable systems, and timely technical assistance.

The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to work beyond regular hours, including weekends, when required for system implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Extract, transform, analyze, and validate data from various business systems and databases.
• Translate business requirements into meaningful reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
• Monitor data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities through data analysis.
• Assist departments in interpreting data and generating actionable insights.
• Maintain data models, Power BI datasets, measures, and reporting documentation.

2. ERP / SAP Support

• Provide first-level technical and functional support for SAP Business One.
• Assist users with SAP related issues, report requirements, data concerns, and basic troubleshooting.
• technical or functional assistance.
• Assist in data validation, report creations and testing.
• Monitor and document recurring SAP issues and recommend possible solutions.

3. IT Technical Support

• Provide basic technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and system-related concerns.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, applications, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with user account, system access, and application-related concerns.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity, IP configuration, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and LAN related issues.
• Perform hardware and software inventory

4. System Monitoring & Support

• Monitor assigned systems, applications, reports, and data processes.
• Assist in identifying and resolving system or data-related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.
• Support system implementation, upgrades, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Install and monitor company Anti-virus and other company applications
• Ensure that assigned IT and data related tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.

5. Other Responsibilities

• Perform other IT, data, and technical support functions as may be assigned by the IT Manager.
• Be willing to render overtime, after hours, holiday, or weekend support when necessary, particularly during system implementations, maintenance, testing, or critical incidents.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience using Microsoft Power BI for dashboard development, reporting, data visualization, and analysis.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting.
• Experience working with SAP Business One or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Experience in basic IT technical support and troubleshooting.
• Basic experience in computer networking and network troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, including:
• o Dashboard and report development
• o Data visualization
• o Data modeling
• o DAX fundamentals
• o Power Query / data transformation
• Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP Business One or other ERP applications.
• Basic knowledge of:
• oTCP/IP and IP addressing
• oLAN/Wi-Fi connectivity
• oNetwork troubleshooting
• o Windows operating systems
• oHardware and software troubleshooting

Pay: Php21,000.00 - Php23,000.00 per month
