Data Annotation Specialist (Document & Editorial Quality) - Immediate Joiners Only

Compensation: ₹2.8 to 3.6 LPA (Including 10% Performance Variable)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Data Quality Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru on a full-time, mandatory on-site basis (5 days a week).

In this role, you will lead the editorial quality assurance and data annotation for structured document datasets, specifically DOCX and PPT formats.

Positioned at the intersection of document reviews & editorial quality control, you will execute tasks strictly according to defined project playbooks across multiple assignments.

You will be responsible for rubrics-based data annotation & evaluation, citing objective evidence for quality decisions, maintaining daily SLAs & providing mentoring, day to day task guidance & playbook onboarding to the initial team in the organization.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in data quality assurance, document auditing, quality control, or structured content evaluation.
• Education & Communication: Educational background of BA, BCom, or BSc with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Data Evaluation Expertise: Demonstrated experience with rubrics-based scoring, structured audit frameworks, and providing documented evidence for quality decisions.
• Mindset & Leadership: High degree of accuracy, adaptable to changing client playbooks, with the ability to mentor freshers and maintain deliverable quality consistency.
• Nice to Have: Exposure to multimodal datasets (text, image, video, or audio annotation) or familiarity with annotation tools (e.g., CVAT, Labelbox, SuperAnnotate, V7).

Key Responsibilities

• Rubrics-Based Assessment: Perform and oversee the evaluation of text, formatting, visual design, and structural content in DOCX and PPT files using predefined quality rubrics and standardized scoring frameworks.
• Quality Auditing & Flaw Elimination: eliminate narrative gaps, factual errors, visual misalignments, and generic fluff.
• Objective Evidence Citing: Ensure all quality issues, error categories, or score deductions are backed by clear, documented objective evidence and rationale.
• SLA & Target Management: Consistently meet and exceed daily quality, throughput, and error-rate SLA targets
• Playbook Adherence : Execute tasks strictly according to defined project playbooks and SOPs. Quickly understand & rampup the team on new processes & playbooks, identify guideline gaps, if any
• Process Calibration & Mentoring: Participate in calibration sessions, proactively identify & suggest process and efficiency improvements, provide mentoring & guidance to the team as the org grows.

Pay: ₹285,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
