Data Architect

ALG is a leading global consultancy team with 35 years of professional experience working alongside the top players in the transport sector (operators, infrastructure developers and investors, etc.), advising them on how to better prepare to respond to strategic, capacity, infrastructure and operational challenges

Currently, we are looking for a Data Architect, to join our team in Barcelona or Madrid, to reinforce our AI & Digital Transformation practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Define scalable, secure, and business-oriented data architectures.
• Lead the design and implementation of modern data platforms based on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Advise clients on data strategies, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence.
• Ensure proper data integration, governance, quality, and utilization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across business, analytics, engineering, and development.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in data management and architecture, including proven experience as a Data Architect.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services (Data Lake, Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL, among others).
• Advanced experience with Databricks, Lakehouse architectures, and large-scale data processing.
• Knowledge of data governance, data modeling, integration, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to interact with clients, understand business needs, and translate them into technology solutions.
• High level of English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced analytics, generative AI, or machine learning projects.
• Microsoft Azure and/or Databricks certifications.
• Experience in the transport, logistics, mobility, or infrastructure sectors.
