Data Architect

For our client, we are seeking a Data Architect to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will shape the data foundation that powers reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making across the organization. You will design scalable architectures and modeling standards that help turn large, complex datasets into trusted business assets. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that are well documented, performance-aware, and built for long-term growth.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $138,000 – $200,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Analyze large data sets to identify trends and translate them into data models and architectures
• Design and implement comprehensive data architecture that supports a variety of use cases
• Maintain logical and physical data models, along with thorough documentation
• Create optimized data models for reporting and data visualization purposes
• Apply advanced data architecture patterns with a focus on scalability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive data solutions
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance on data architecture best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics roles; 5+ years specifically in a data-centric position
• Strong experience in data modeling and modeling tools such as ER/Studio or ERwin
• Advanced SQL proficiency with familiarity in relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as big data frameworks such as EMR and Spark
• Experience with modern data architectures, including data lakes and warehouses
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
