A fast-growing digital business is investing significantly in its data architecture and is seeking a Data Architect to shape the future of its modern cloud-based data platform.

The organisation is expanding into new markets whilst integrating newly acquired businesses. As a result, they require an experienced architect who can design scalable, secure and future-ready data solutions.

The Role

You'll become the architectural authority across the data estate, ensuring governance, compliance, security and scalability are embedded into every decision.

This role combines strategic design with practical execution and requires someone who can remain hands-on when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own target-state data architecture
• Establish governance frameworks and engineering standards
• Design secure approaches to customer identity and sensitive data management
• Drive data classification, retention and access control strategies
• Support acquisition integration and platform consolidation
• Partner with engineering teams to guide implementation
• Ensure solutions are scalable for future growth and diversification

About You

• Strong Data Architecture experience
• Knowledge of governance, compliance and security best practice
• Experience designing cloud-based data platforms
• Strong understanding of PII and data privacy requirements
• Hands-on technical capability across SQL and modern data engineering tools
• Ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
