Data Architecture & Governance Lead

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, reference patterns, and data platform strategies.

• Own the bank's data catalogue, metadata management, and source-to-report lineage capabilities.

• Lead data design reviews and govern data models, schemas, and architecture decisions across technology teams.

• Establish and enforce data quality rules, scorecards, and remediation processes for critical data elements.

• Implement data governance controls covering classification, access management, retention, masking, and consent requirements.

• Support regulatory, audit, and governance requirements through strong lineage, quality, and data management practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across data architecture and data governance, including lead-level ownership.

• Experience designing cloud-based lakehouse or enterprise data platform architectures using Azure, AWS, Databricks, or similar technologies.

• Strong hands-on experience with data catalogue, lineage, and data quality platforms such as Purview, Collibra, Unity Catalog, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of enterprise data management, metadata management, and governance frameworks.

• Experience working within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.

• Familiarity with banking data domains and regulatory reporting requirements, including CBUAE returns and IFRS 9.
