This is a hands-on, field-based position for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors, and interested in construction technology, surveying, civil engineering, photography, data collection, or artificial intelligence.

Professional training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate 360° cameras, reality capture equipment, surveying tools, and related field technology.
  • Capture accurate and comprehensive construction site data according to established processes and project requirements.
  • Document construction progress and site conditions.
  • Communicate clearly with project teams regarding on-site activities, progress, and requirements.
  • Follow all health, safety, site access, and client-specific safety protocols.
  • Identify potential safety concerns and maintain awareness while working on active construction sites.
  • Walk extended distances and perform physical fieldwork as required.
  • Collaborate with project teams and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Maintain the quality, accuracy, and completeness of collected field data.
  • Work on large-scale construction sites in Texas.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Availability to work Fridays for approximately 5–10 hours; Friday availability is non-negotiable.
  • Availability for approximately 2 field days per week, with the second day to be confirmed.
  • Comfortable working in person on active construction sites.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
  • Ability to walk long distances and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow general and site/client-specific safety procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual, dependable, and committed to high-quality work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and solve problems in the field.
  • Comfortable learning and operating new technology and equipment.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and accurately complete assigned data collection tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or education in construction, surveying, civil engineering, engineering, photography, field operations, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites or in field-based environments.
  • Familiarity with surveying equipment, cameras, mapping technology, reality capture, 3D scanning, or data collection.
  • Technical aptitude and interest in AI, computer vision, construction technology, or emerging technologies.
  • Current college students pursuing construction, engineering, surveying, technology, photography, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Training

Training will be provided on reality capture equipment, data collection procedures, construction-site protocols, and project-specific requirements. Prior experience with reality capture equipment is helpful but not required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable with hands-on fieldwork. You should be willing to learn new equipment and processes, work independently when needed, communicate effectively with project teams, and maintain a high standard of accuracy while collecting site data.
