Data Center Asset Management Technician (Mandarin Required)

Job Description & Responsibilities

1. On-Call & Availability

• Working Hours: Be on duty during standard 5 times 8 working hours.
• Emergency Response: Able to respond to urgent requests outside normal working hours or provide on-site support when required.

2. Compliance & Integrity

• Policy Compliance: Strictly adhere to asset management policies, code of conduct, and legal/compliance requirements (e.g., Alibaba integrity standards).
• Data & Process Integrity: Ensure all workflows are legal and compliant—strictly no unauthorized barcoding/coding, concealment of information, or regulatory violations.

3. Warehouse & SOP Management

Access Control: Strictly follow Asset Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to manage personnel entry/exit registration and track asset movements in and out of the warehouse.

4. Asset Tools & SLA Management

• Tool Proficiency: Familiar with asset management tools and platforms.
• SLA Compliance: Respond to and execute work orders according to Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, ensuring high SLA compliance rates and precise asset information.
• Process Optimization: Possess the ability to propose optimization suggestions for asset management and ticketing/work-order workflows.

5. IDC Environment & Security Standards

• Security Standards: Familiar with and strictly comply with Internet Data Center (IDC) environmental and asset security management norms.
• Lifecycle Safety: Manage asset storage, transportation, check-in/check-out, and decommissioning/disposal according to SOPs to prevent physical damage and ensure data security.
• Safety Optimization: Possess the ability to suggest improvements for environmental and asset safety control measures.

6. Inventory & Data Accuracy

• Full Inventory Audits: Execute full-scope asset inventories in data centers to ensure 100% accuracy—matching physical assets with system records (including location, Serial Number [SN], status, and model).
• Data Analysis: Proficient in using asset management tools and software for rapid data retrieval, analysis, and exception/anomaly extraction.

7. Project Management & Empowerment

• Project Execution: Familiar with asset project management processes, possessing basic capabilities in risk control, schedule management, and project acceptance.
• Team Empowerment: Ability to empower team members and drive operational efficiency improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

• Industry Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in IT asset management or data centers.
• Total Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Equipment Knowledge: Familiar with common data center hardware (servers, network switches) and components/consumables (optical modules, cards, fiber cables, etc.).
• Warehouse Management: Experience in warehouse operations, familiar with storage environmental requirements, including dustproof and moisture-proof measures.
• Lifecycle Understanding: Conceptual understanding of the full IDC asset lifecycle, from initial warehousing to final decommissioning.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
