Data Center Asset Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Data Center Asset Technician to support daily IT asset and warehouse operations within a data center environment.

This role focuses on the management, tracking, inventory, storage, movement, and security of IT equipment and data center assets. You will support day-to-day asset operations and help ensure accurate records and smooth operational processes.

We welcome candidates from warehouse, inventory, asset management, IT support, or IT hardware backgrounds. Fresh graduates and motivated candidates without direct relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Chinese is used as one of the working languages for this role, as some SOPs, operational guidelines, and internal documentation are provided in Chinese.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to asset management regulations, compliance, and ethical standards, ensuring all workflows are lawful and proper.
• Execute warehouse and asset management procedures in accordance with company SOPs, including personnel entry/exit logs and asset in/out records.
• Utilize asset management tools and platforms to respond to and execute work orders per SLA requirements, ensuring SLA compliance and 100% asset data accuracy.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements in asset and work order management.
• Ensure asset security throughout all stages—storage, transport, deployment, and decommissioning—following IDC data center environment and safety standards.
• Conduct full inventory audits of all data center assets, including location, serial number, status, model, and ensure records match physical assets.
• Use asset management software and tools for data retrieval, analysis, and exception reporting efficiently.
• Maintain awareness of IDC asset environment and safety protocols, and propose improvements to enhance operational and asset security.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Independently manage daily tasks and small projects, demonstrating self-management and organizational capabilities.

About you

• Able to read and understand Chinese for work purposes, including SOPs, operational guidelines, and internal documentation.
• Candidates with experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, asset management, IT support, or IT hardware are welcome.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
• Familiarity with IT equipment such as servers, switches, cables, optical modules, boards, or other hardware is an advantage, but not required.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, organized, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working in a data center / warehouse environment.
