Job Overview

ByteBridge is looking for a Data Center Deployment Engineer to join our Managed Services team supporting a client’s data center operations in Rayong, Thailand.

This is an onsite, hands-on role responsible for supporting large-scale server and infrastructure deployment activities. The position will work closely with client teams, internal project teams and onsite vendors to coordinate deployment activities, conduct installation inspections, verify assets and infrastructure, maintain quality and safety standards, and support successful project handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track daily server deployment activities and progress against the agreed deployment plan.
• Identify deployment risks, delays or issues and coordinate timely resolution or escalation.
• Escort, coordinate and supervise vendors and contractors carrying out work within the data hall.
• Ensure vendor activities comply with client operational procedures, quality requirements and site safety standards.
• Support receiving and verification of servers and IT equipment against delivery documentation and inventory records.
• Verify equipment quantities, serial numbers, asset information and deployment locations.
• Conduct server deployment inspections, including physical mounting, positioning, labelling and housekeeping.
• Inspect network and power cabling to ensure compliance with design and quality requirements.
• Inspect racks, L-brackets, rPDUs and associated infrastructure as required.
• Verify physical connections and relevant infrastructure conditions, including manifold/CDU connections and water, temperature and pressure readings where applicable.
• Support physical inspections and pressure testing related to liquid-cooling infrastructure where required.
• Conduct regular data hall walkthroughs to identify safety risks, installation defects, irregularities or compliance issues.
• Provide remote hands / smart hands support, including physical verification, patching and basic troubleshooting.
• Support installation activities and technical handover based on instructions from internal or client technical teams.
• Conduct post-work verification and ensure deployment activities are properly completed before handover.
• Maintain QA/QC and EHS compliance throughout all deployment activities.
• Support incident escalation, troubleshooting and resolution.
• Prepare and submit daily work summaries, deployment progress reports and inspection records.
• • Maintain accurate documentation for completed work and outstanding issues.
• • Support weekend deployment activities during peak periods according to the client’s approved deployment schedule.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Networking, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3+ years of experience in data center operations, server deployment, IT infrastructure or a similar technical environment.
• Practical knowledge of servers, racks, structured cabling, power connections and data center infrastructure.
• Experience with server deployment, rack & stack, cabling, hardware installation or data center operations is preferred.
• Able to inspect physical installations and identify quality, safety or compliance issues.
• Basic hardware troubleshooting and remote-hands experience.
• Experience coordinating or supervising onsite vendors/contractors is an advantage.
• Familiarity with QA/QC and EHS requirements within a data center environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate deployment records.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume and fast-paced data center environment.
• Willing to work onsite at the client data center in Rayong and support weekend activities when required.
• Good communication skills in Thai and English.

Preferred Experience

Experience in hyperscale data centers, high-volume server deployments, rack installation, structured cabling, asset verification, vendor supervision, remote hands or liquid-cooling/CDU infrastructure will be an advantage.

Important: This position is part of ByteBridge's Managed Services team and will be deployed onsite at our client's data center in Rayong, Thailand.
