Data Center Facility Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations and critical infrastructure of our mission-critical data center. In this role, you will lead the facility management team to maintain peak operational performance, manage preventive maintenance, oversee vendor service levels, enforce compliance, and manage operational budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Critical Facility Operations: Lead and manage operational teams to oversee the daily running of the data center, ensuring peak performance and maximum uptime of critical systems (HVAC, power distribution, cooling, etc.).
• Preventive Maintenance: Plan, execute, and optimize preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring effective resource allocation to minimize operational risks.
• End-to-End Vendor Management: Manage the full vendor lifecycle—including vendor selection, contract and SLA negotiations, performance evaluations, and ongoing relationship management.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Plan, implement, and enforce strict health and safety protocols to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Budget & Financial Management: Develop, monitor, and control the facility budget, efficiently managing both operational and maintenance costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of robust experience in Facility Management, with a proven track record in Data Center / Mission-Critical environments.
• Operational Expertise: Solid leadership experience in managing critical facility engineering teams and handling complex infrastructure.
• Vendor & Project Management: Exceptional skills in contract negotiation, vendor governance, and managing multi-disciplinary contractors.
• Financial Acumen: Practical experience in budget development, operational cost control, and resource optimization.
• Compliance Knowledge: Deep familiarity with local safety regulations, building codes, and data center compliance standards.
• Languages: Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.

Post-qualification supervisory experience (at least 1 year) in Electrical / BS / Mechanical installations, with one of the following:

• Registered Professional Engineer (ELL / BSS / MCL), or
• Corporate Member of HKIE (ELL / BSS / MCL), or
• Overseas engineering institution member with mutual recognition with HKIE (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE, IET)
