This role requires a blend of hands-on technical ability, organizational excellence, and leadership to drive successful project outcomes across diverse environments.

A site Lead Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all low-voltage infrastructure installation activities on large-scale data center construction projects. This role ensures that all structured cabling, network systems, security, and other low-voltage systems are installed to specification, delivered on schedule, and meet the stringent quality and reliability standards required in mission-critical environments.

The Lead Superintendent serves as the on-site authority for low-voltage trade coordination, supervises subcontractors, manages daily construction activities, maintains documentation, and ensures compliance with safety protocols, project plans, and industry standards.

  • Lead and manage day-to-day low-voltage installation activities for data center projects.
  • Supervise site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFI responses, and submittals related to low-voltage systems.
  • Conduct daily site walks to verify installation quality, identify issues, and ensure work areas are safe and organized.
  • Coordinate closely with electrical, mechanical, general contractor, and owner-representative teams to maintain alignment across trades.

Low-Voltage Systems Installation

  • Oversee installation of structured cabling (fiber and copper), pathways, racks, cabinets, grounding/bonding, and cable management systems.
  • Manage deployment of data center IT, and monitoring systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and customer technical standards.
  • Verify testing, labeling, terminations, and certification of low-voltage systems.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and support commissioning activities.

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Maintain the low-voltage installation schedule and integrate activities into the master construction schedule.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, storage, staging, and inventory control.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly coordination meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Identify schedule risks early and propose corrective actions.

Quality Control & Documentation

  • Maintain up-to-date red lines, as-built drawings, cable logs, and test results.
  • Ensure all work meets required specification, quality, and performance criteria.
  • Participate in QA/QC inspections, commissioning, and turnover processes.
  • Prepare daily reports, progress photos, and site activity logs.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce company and jobsite safety requirements; promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Ensure all teams follow OSHA standards, site-specific rules, electrical safety practices, and proper use of PPE.
  • Support incident reporting and resolution
