Data Center Operations Technician (24/7 Rotating Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Data Center Operations Technician to support 24/7 data center operations in Chonburi, Thailand. This role focuses on onsite technical support, including server and network equipment installation, rack and stack, structured cabling, hardware troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and incident response. The position operates on a 24/7 rotating shift roster, including day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for daily data center operations.
• Perform rack and stack of servers, switches, storage, and other IT equipment.
• Install, patch, label, trace, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling.
• Perform cable routing and cable management according to data center standards.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot server and network hardware components.
• Perform basic hardware diagnostics and fault isolation.
• Support remote engineering teams through hands-and-eyes activities.
• Carry out power cycling, cable tracing, port verification, equipment checks, and other onsite tasks.
• Respond to incidents and service requests according to required SLA timelines.
• Perform routine equipment and infrastructure checks and escalate abnormalities.

About you

• Diploma, Higher Vocational Certificate, or Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, network support, field support, or a similar technical environment is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with servers, network equipment, rack and stack, or structured cabling is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of server and network hardware.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling is preferred.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as equipment installation and movement.
• Able to follow technical instructions, SOPs, and escalation procedures.
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Basic English communication skills for ticket updates and coordination with regional teams.
• Able and willing to work 24/7 rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
