Data Center Operations Trainee, AWS Data Center Operation

Description Trainee Period: 7 Dec 2026 - 11 June 2027

We designed this unique trainee program to hire IT early careers or professionals, providing you with classroom and on the job training to introduce you to all facets of our Datacenter (DC) operations. From this program, you get to be empowered, grow and scale in your technical expertise and learn from our experienced engineers.

You will be assigned as a trainee for 6 months where you will have exposure to learn and understand how our Data center works, interact with our support teams and customers. Experience the latest technologies of our cloud that puts you among top talents of data center technical support teams. By the end of the program, you will be assessed on your learnings to see if you have what it takes to join our growing team and be a full time Amazonian.

Key job responsibilities

There is never a dull moment as each day presents itself with different challenges. Some of the key exposures are:

• Perform installation and configurations on Data center Servers and Network systems
• Installation, troubleshooting and replacement of internal and external hardware parts of Servers and Network devices
• Perform storage media (HDD, SSD etc.) sanitization and destruction tasks
• Work within a ticket-based environment and work on systematic problem resolution
• Movement of equipment with assisted lifting machinery.
• Maintain high system reliability by prioritizing trouble tickets
• Collaborate with internal teams (DC operations, DC Engineering, Logistics, Security, Projects etc.) sharing ideas and contribute in projects to improve DC work environment and overall efficiencies.
• Participate, lead and deliver small to mid-scale projects including Data Center rollout

Basic Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to legally work in Indonesia.
• Excellent communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal.
• Willing to work in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster, or oncall basis
• Currently enrolled in a school or Expected graduation in 2026, 2027 or graduated within the past 24 months
• Less than 1year relevant experience
• The candidate must be able to commit to a full-time traineeship for the duration of 2026-2027
• In the case you are a current student, you must have completed the graduation and be prepared to begin a regular full-time role should you be converted from trainee to FTE in 2027

Preferred Qualifications

• Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Telecommunications, or Science disciplines (Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science)
• Interest in computers, networking, server hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, and Data Center IT infrastructure operation
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow documented processes and procedures accurately
• Remote Access: Console routers, IPMI, BMC
• Network Equipment Installation and Configuration
• Cisco IOS, NX-OS, JunOS
• Redundancy: Power feeds, ATS, Server Hardware, RAID, Network Connectivity
• Data Center Operations: Inventory Management, Hot/Cold Aisles, Security
• Experience with Excel and the ability to manipulate data and create necessary charts and diagrams
• Participated in Project Management
• Experience or Knowledge of AWS products: EC2, EBS, S3 etc.
• Scripting: Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby (or programming languages)
