Job Description

What You’ll Do

1. Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware
2. Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues to minimize customer downtime
3. Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair, including:
4. Memory/DIMMs
5. CPUs/processors
6. Power supplies
7. Fans and cooling components
8. Hard drives/SSDs
9. RAID/HBA components
10. NICs and other PCIe components
11. GPUs and accelerator hardware
12. Motherboards/system boards and other server components
13. Perform rack-and-stack, server installation, cabling, component swaps, and hardware configuration
14. Troubleshoot issues involving server hardware, BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics
15. Perform firmware and BIOS updates and utilize server management tools such as Dell iDRAC or comparable platforms
16. Execute both reactive break/fix and preventive maintenance following established procedures
17. Troubleshoot and isolate hardware failures using documented diagnostic procedures and technical resources
18. Work directly with customers and internal technical teams during service events to communicate status, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution
19. Accurately document service activities, hardware replacements, troubleshooting steps, and resolution details
20. Escalate complex technical issues when appropriate
21. Participate in on-call rotations and provide extended coverage as required.
