Data Center Support I-II Technician

Position Summary

Cytherian, Inc. is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Data Center Logistics & Material Handling Technicians to support inbound logistics, non-technical deployment, material reorganization, and inventory-audit operations across multiple data center campuses in the Virginia region. In this hands-on role, you will receive, stage, and organize deployment materials; perform non-technical rack-and-stack work under Cytherian direction; keep logistics areas clean and organized; and support deployment and inventory audits. All work is performed on active data center floors and in logistics areas, in strict accordance with Cytherian safety and operational protocols.

Key ResponsibilitiesInbound Logistics & Material Handling

• Unload delivery trucks and pallets.
• Unbox hardware and stage on plastic pallets.
• Count and validate materials against delivery documentation.
• Move materials to designated staging or storage locations.
• Tarp and protect materials from dust and environmental exposure.
• Dispose of cardboard, packaging, and empty pallets.
• Support organization and logistics floor labeling.

Rack & Stack / Deployment (Non-Technical)

• Rack and stack MOR and non-standard deployment equipment.
• Install airflow buffers and deployment accessories.
• Reposition equipment to the correct U-space per Cytherian direction.
• Execute tasks under Cytherian and Data Center PM guidance.

Material Reorganization & Cleanup

• Palletize, shrink-wrap, and relocate materials.
• Perform sea-can and warehouse material movement.
• Remove surplus materials and trash from logistics areas.

Deployment & Inventory Audits

• Audit deployment and non-standard materials.
• Complete Cytherian provided audit templates.
• Validate counts and discrepancies with Data Center FTEs.
• Support multi-site audits across Virginia.

Required Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Training or equivalent.
• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, material handling, or a data center environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and validate delivery and audit documentation, and to record counts and discrepancies accurately.
• Basic computer/tablet skills sufficient to complete digital audit templates.
• Ability to take and follow direction from Data Center personnell and Cytherian site leads.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to pass background screening and obtain and maintain data center site-access credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on hyperscale/colocation data center campuses.
• Forklift and/or pallet-jack certification and experience.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs; occasionally more with assistance or equipment.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and reach for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Operate manual material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on the floor.

Work Environment

Work is performed in active data center construction, deployment, and logistics areas across multiple Virginia campuses. The environment includes variable temperatures, noise, and ongoing equipment movement. Travel between local sites may be required. All personnel must adhere to Cytherian safety, security, and operational protocols at all times.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
