Role Overview The Data Center Technician L2 will support operations in a GPU-dense, high-performance computing environment . The role requires strong hands-on experience with rack/stack, structured cabling, server installation, hardware moves, adds & changes, troubleshooting, and data center safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rack & stack installation of servers, networking, storage, and GPU equipment.
• Install and manage fiber and copper structured cabling.
• Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain proper airflow and cable management.
• Connect and verify power and network cabling.
• Perform hardware Moves, Adds & Changes (MACs).
• Conduct hardware validation, LED/port checks, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate asset tracking, labeling, and technical documentation.
• Read and follow rack elevation diagrams, deployment instructions, and technical documentation.
• Work with data center engineering and networking teams during deployments.
• Follow strict ESD, safety, and security protocols.
• Support hardware decommissioning and removal activities.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on data center experience
• Strong rack & stack experience
• Structured cabling Fiber & Copper
• PDU / Power Distribution knowledge
• Server installation Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or equivalent
• Ability to read rack diagrams/elevation drawings
• Hardware validation and troubleshooting
• Asset tracking and documentation
• Strong safety awareness and ESD procedures

Preferred

• Hyperscale data center experience
• GPU-dense data center experience
• High-Performance Computing (HPC) knowledge
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Large-scale hardware refresh/migration experience
