Design Manager - Hyperscale Data Centre Projects - Europe - Remote Working + Very Occasional Site Visits - €Excellent Day Rate - 6 Month Rolling Contract - ASAP Start - Monday to Friday (8 Hour Days)

We are supporting a major EPC Contractor in the search for 2 experienced Design Managers to support the delivery of major hyperscale Data Centre projects across Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity to work fully remotely while overseeing the design and engineering delivery of complex Data Centre projects for leading global technology clients.

• Remote working + very occasional site visits
• 6 month rolling contract
• Hyperscale Data Centre projects across Europe
• ASAP start date
• Monday to Friday (8 hour days)
• €Excellent day rate
• Ltd company or umbrella engagement structure options available

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary electrical and mechanical design activities across hyperscale Data Centre projects.
• Oversee the design process from early-stage development through detailed design, construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, external consultants, subcontractors and clients.
• Review technical designs, specifications, drawings and design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Manage design programmes, technical queries, design changes and engineering interfaces.
• Support the successful delivery of large-scale Design & Build projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Design Manager on large-scale hyperscale Data Centre projects.
• Electrical engineering background strongly preferred, with progression into design management.
• Previous experience delivering projects for major hyperscale clients such as AWS, Microsoft, Google or Meta.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary MEP design coordination and Design & Build delivery.
• Experience working for a leading engineering contractor or design consultancy.
• EU passport and flexibility to occasionally travel to European project sites.
