Data Centre Engineer

We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team as Data Centre Engineer. This role is perfect for fresh graduates or those with up to one or two years of relevant experience. As a Data Centre Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our data centre operations and ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily facility infrastructure status checks and proactively monitor data centre components (UPS, CCTV, PAC, EMS, HSSD systems).
• Ensure DC uptime availability by preventing any service interruptions leading to downtime.
• Coordinate and handle ICT hardware delivery arrangements, including acceptance, inspection, claim, return, collection, and disposal.
• Monitor and coordinate cabling installation or decommissioning, ensuring the correct connection or removal of cables.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Update and check tape inventory to ensure accuracy after each tape handling.
• Update ICT inventory and evergreen accurately after each installation and decommission in relevant customer tools.
• Manage inventory in the holding area.
• Monitor and support monthly maintenance to ensure vendor performance aligns with agreements.
• Share yearly maintenance plans and monthly planning.
• Monitor and handle physical access requests/escalations and ensure strict adherence to physical security and HSE procedures.
• Support customer-related DC projects for improvement and optimization programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Diploma holders with two (2) years of Data Centre experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Good command of the English language.
• General troubleshooting skills for desktops.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Strong customer-centric attitude.
• Fast learner with a proactive attitude.
• Assertiveness, empathy, and active listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively in international and multicultural teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
