Data Centre Engineer (FM Opreation)

What this job involves:

• Perform routine inspections, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and control systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, and BMS/DCIM interfaces

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as directed by work orders in ServiceNow), following approved SOPs and MOPs

• Assist in emergency response and incident support, such as power transfers, cooling alarms, or equipment failures, under the guidance of senior engineers or site leads

• Log all activities accurately in digital systems, including work completion status, observations, spare parts used, and anomalies detected

• Support planned maintenance shutdowns, equipment testing, and vendor-led works by preparing sites, isolating systems (under supervision), and verifying post-work conditions

• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in plant rooms, electrical closets, and white space areas per JLL and client requirements

• Follow all health, safety, and security protocols, including PPE usage, permit-to-work processes, and site access rules

• Escalate issues promptly to supervisors when tasks exceed your authorization level or technical scope

• Represent JLL professionally during client interactions, demonstrating reliability, responsiveness, and technical diligence

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data centre or critical facility electrical systems
• REW B0 / C0 is required
• In-depth knowledge of UPS, backup generators, switchgear, and power distribution architectures
• Facility with BMS / DCIM tools and electrical safety standards
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a high-availability
