Data Centre Facilities Engineer

Job Overview

Our client, a leading global trading firm, is seeking a Data Centre Facilities Engineer to support critical infrastructure projects and operations across its data centre environment. This role offers exposure to internal data hall build-outs, infrastructure upgrades and capacity expansion initiatives within mission-critical facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of internal data hall build-outs, infrastructure upgrades and expansion projects.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, IT and operations teams to ensure successful project execution and operational readiness.
• Work closely with contractors, consultants, vendors and colocation providers across project and operational activities.
• Oversee critical facility infrastructure, including power, cooling and building management systems.
• Participate in design reviews, commissioning activities and technical assessments for new infrastructure deployments.
• Support maintenance planning, capacity management and continuous improvement initiatives within mission-critical environments.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving facility-related issues to maintain high levels of reliability and uptime.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience within mission-critical facilities such as data centres, trading floors, financial institutions or other 24/7 environments.
• Experience supporting end-to-end data centre projects, including design, construction, fit-out, commissioning or infrastructure upgrades.
• Strong understanding of critical MEP systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling systems, power distribution and BMS.
• Comfortable to work on weekend or night due to operation and project needs.
• Willing to travel to oversea due to business needs.
• Familiarity with data centre operations, maintenance practices and operational risk management.
• Experience working with external contractors, consultants and service providers.
• Fluent English communication skills
