About the role

Join a major data centre infrastructure program delivering next-generation AI and high-performance compute environments in Auckland.

We are recruiting multiple Data Centre Installation Supervisors / Foremen to lead day-to-day installation activity across active data centre environments.

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role. You will coordinate installation crews and subcontractors, manage activity on the floor and ensure works are completed safely, on schedule and in accordance with installation specifications and quality standards.

We are looking for someone who understands how physical data centre installations are delivered and can confidently coordinate multiple technical crews and workstreams at the same time.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading daily installation activity across active data centre environments
  • Supervising subcontractors, technicians and specialist installation crews
  • Coordinating work sequencing, site activities and multiple technical workstreams
  • Overseeing rack positioning, rack builds and physical equipment installation
  • Coordinating high-density GPU and compute infrastructure deployment
  • Overseeing structured cabling, fibre and associated network installation works
  • Coordinating power, PDU, grounding and bonding activities
  • Coordinating cooling, HVAC and associated infrastructure installation
  • Running daily site briefings and maintaining safe working practices
  • Monitoring installation progress against schedules and project milestones
  • Coordinating equipment deliveries, staging, site access and logistics
  • Checking completed works against drawings, rack elevations and installation specifications
  • Identifying site issues, risks and installation blockers and escalating where required
  • Maintaining installation trackers, QA records and site documentation
  • Supporting testing, commissioning, final walkthroughs and operational handover

About you

You may already be working as a Data Centre Foreman, Site Supervisor or Installation Supervisor, or you may be an experienced Senior Data Centre Technician who has progressed into leading crews and coordinating site activity.

You will ideally have:

  • Hands-on data centre or critical infrastructure installation experience
  • Experience supervising technicians, subcontractors or installation crews
  • Strong understanding of day-to-day site coordination and work sequencing
  • Working knowledge of racks, servers, structured cabling, power and cooling infrastructure
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings, rack elevations and installation documentation
  • Strong site safety and quality awareness
  • Confidence coordinating multiple trades and technical teams simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with contractors, technical teams and site stakeholders
  • A practical approach to solving problems and keeping work moving
  • Full New Zealand working rights

Experienced Senior Data Centre Technicians will also be considered where they have the technical depth and leadership capability to step into a supervisory position.

Shift availability

These are eight-hour shifts. Some sites may operate extended hours or broader roster coverage as the program develops.
