Data Center Installation Supervisor
 
Our client is a global technology solutions provider delivering technology infrastructure across a portfolio of new data centre builds in New Zealand and Australia, supporting AI and generative AI workloads.
 
We're looking for an Installation Supervisor to oversee the end-to-end deployment of High-Performance Computing and AI infrastructure at customer sites across the region, ensuring physical installation, integration, and quality assurance are executed to engineering specifications, industry standards, and customer expectations.
 
The role manages onsite logistics, supervises field staff and subcontractors, verifies installation quality, and delivers as-built documentation for customer signoff.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in large-scale data centre, HPC, or AI infrastructure deployments
• Understanding of rack-and-stack, structured cabling, power, cooling, and grounding standards
• Experience leading field teams, subcontractors, or technical crews
• Ability to read technical drawings (rack elevations, network maps, cabling diagrams)
• Familiarity with QA processes and documentation standards
• Working knowledge of site health & safety, access procedures, and logistics coordination
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

What You'll Be Doing

• Plan & prepare sites — review designs and drawings, assess site readiness (power, cooling, space, access), build installation schedules, coordinate logistics and permits
• Receive & stage equipment — verify deliveries against bill of materials, inspect for damage, coordinate storage
• Oversee installation — supervise rack-and-stack, cabling, power, and grounding work; run daily briefings; confirm placement and connections against design
• Test & validate — verify cooling performance, run connectivity and link tests, coordinate power-up/burn-in testing, log and report anomalies
• Document & sign off — compile as-built documentation, produce the Installation Completion Report, walk the customer through signoff, debrief internally
