Data Centre Network Engineer (m/w/d) | AI & GPU Infrastructure | BGP / EVPN / InfiniBand | Remote, Germany

Want to build the networks behind Europe’s next generation of AI compute? A fast-scaling European AI cloud provider is hiring a Data Centre Network Engineer to help design and grow its GPU infrastructure platform. The role is remote within Germany, with occasional travel to data centre sites.

This is a hands-on engineering role with real architectural influence. You’ll work on high-performance networks for AI training and inference workloads, help bring new data centre sites online, and set the technical standards for the platform as it scales.

What You’ll Do

• Build And Operate Large-Scale BGP Data Centre Fabrics
• Design High-Performance GPU Networking For AI/HPC Workloads
• Deploy And Run InfiniBand And RoCE Backend Networks
• Integrate Kubernetes And Bare-Metal Platforms Into The Network
• Manage Data Centre Firewalls And Load Balancers
• Support New Data Centre Builds And Site Expansions
• Automate Network Operations And Improve Monitoring/Observability
• Troubleshoot Complex Incidents In A 24/7 Production Environment

What You’ll Bring

• Several Years’ Data Centre Network Engineering Experience
• Strong BGP Expertise, Ideally EVPN-VXLAN Or Spine-Leaf Fabrics
• Solid IPv6 Experience In Production Environments
• Experience With Firewalls And Load Balancing At Scale
• Network Automation Skills: Python, Ansible, Or Similar
• Fluent English (German A Plus)
• Based In Germany With Right To Work In The EU
• Happy To Join An On-Call Rotation

Nice To Have

• NVIDIA Networking (Spectrum, Quantum, Cumulus) Or Arista/Juniper
• InfiniBand Or RoCEv2 Experience For GPU Clusters
• Kubernetes Networking And CNIs (Cilium, Calico)
• SDN, Linux Networking Or HPC Background
