Data Centre Operations Manager (7x24 support role on shift duty)

About the role

This is a core infrastructure management role responsible for the full lifecycle operations of data centre networks, servers, virtualization, storage, and security systems. The position leads EOS (End-of-support) equipment replacement, facility upgrades, disaster recovery (DR), compliance, and cross‑team shift management. The manager ensures 7×24 production environment stability, project execution, team collaboration, and standardized operations processes, while aligning with government and enterprise compliance audits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multi‑data centre network architecture, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls (Huawei, F5, FortiGate, Cisco)
• Oversee asset lifecycle, EOS (End-of-support)/EOL (End-of-license) replacement planning, and facility operations (power, cabling, inspections, vendor acceptance)
• Lead VMware cluster operations, resource optimization, fault diagnosis, and performance tuning
• Manage Windows/Linux servers, patching, permissions, and stability
• Support container (K8s) operations and middleware (Redis, RocketMQ, XXL‑Job)
• Enforce security baselines, firewall policy reviews, and access control
• Lead CVE risk assessments, vulnerability remediation, and monthly security audits
• Manage EDR, endpoint security, and antivirus (Trellix/Kaspersky)
• Organize annual/quarterly DR drills, design test cases, simulate failures, and produce reports
• Oversee ManageEngine platforms (OpManager/SDP/ELA/APM), alarm governance, automation, and reporting

Requirements:

• 5+ years in data centre operations
• 2+ years in team/project management
• Expertise in Huawei routers/switches, F5 load balancers, FortiGate firewalls
• Strong VMware, Windows/Linux operations knowledge
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident/request classification, change management
• Experience in EOS lifecycle management and hardware replacement projects
• Security operations, vulnerability governance, EDR, compliance
• DR drill leadership, test case design, reporting
• Team management with 24‑hour shift systems
• Good English reading/writing for vendor coordination and documentation
