Data Centre Shift Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive DC Shift Manager to oversee our data centre's day-to-day operations and maintenance. In this role, you will lead shift operations, monitor highly critical facility infrastructure, and ensure seamless 24x7 uptime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, or electronics systems, coupled with proven experience in incident management and team handling within a critical infrastructure environment.

Role & responsibilities

• Operational Management: Lead, supervise, and coordinate day-to-day shift operations and technical teams to ensure smooth, uninterrupted 24x7 Data Centre operations.
• Infrastructure Monitoring: Continuously monitor and manage critical facility infrastructure, including UPS systems, Diesel Generators (DG sets), HVAC, electrical distributions, and other critical equipment.
• Maintenance Coordination: Plan, oversee, and coordinate both preventive and corrective maintenance activities across shifts.
• Incident & Crisis Management: Swiftly handle facility incidents, alarms, equipment breakdowns, and emergency situations following established protocols.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and operational standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous shift reports, logbooks, operational checklists, and facility maintenance records.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech. or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering.

• Experience Requirements:

• For B.E. / B.Tech. Graduates: More than 6 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 2 years explicitly in Data Centre O&M.

• For Diploma Holders: More than 8 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 4 years explicitly in Data Centre O&M.

• Shift Flexibility: Absolute willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.

• Soft Skills: Strong team management capabilities, excellent troubleshooting skills, clear reporting habits, and effective cross-team coordination.

• Geographic Preference: Based in Bengaluru or open to immediate relocation to Bengaluru.
