Our client is a global data centre advisory firm, whose Technical Design Team is expanding across APAC data centre builds.

Job Summary

Lead power protection and automation design for hyperscale data centre developments across APAC.

You will own relay coordination, SCADA, EPMS, and fault studies—ensuring seamless integration with MV/LV switchgear, UPS, and generator controls, and supporting zero-downtime commissioning and live system tie-ins.

Responsibilities

• Own power protection and automation design: relay coordination, SCADA, EPMS, and fault studies.
• Develop protection settings, logic diagrams, and control narratives for MV/LV systems.
• Perform arc-flash, short-circuit, and relay coordination studies using ETAP, SKM, or DigSILENT.
• Review contractor submittals, FAT/SAT protocols, and commissioning procedures.
• Ensure integration of protection systems with switchgear, UPS, and generator controls.
• Support electrical commissioning and live system tie-ins with zero downtime.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors across multiple newbuild projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering; PE licence preferred.
• 10+ years in power systems protection, SCADA, or automation for utilities, substations, or hyperscale data centres.
• Deep knowledge of SEL, SIPROTEC, MiCOM, and protection relay applications.
• Proficient in ETAP, SKM, or DigSILENT for power system modelling.
• Experience with EPMS, SCADA, and electrical commissioning.
