The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Cleansing Assistant to review and validate merchant records using Google and other reliable online sources. The role involves confirming business addresses, operating status, visit ability, trading names, and opening hours to ensure the accuracy of our database.

The Role

• Review merchant records and verify business details using Google and other online sources.
• Confirm business addresses, trading names, and operating status.
• Categorise merchants according to the appropriate audit criteria.
• Check and update opening hours to match verified online information.
• Estimate opening hours where confirmed information is unavailable, following the provided guidelines.
• Record comments and updates accurately in the designated spreadsheet columns.
• Identify duplicate records, incorrect addresses, closed businesses, and non-customer-facing locations.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and ensure all assigned records are reviewed.

What are we looking for

Essential:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good internet research and data entry skills.
• Confidence using Google Search, spreadsheets, and online business directories.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently.
