Data Consultant

We are looking for experienced professionals to join our Enterprise client in Data Practice and support major organizations in their data transformation initiatives.

About the Role

Japanese enterprises are accelerating their data transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA migration, data utilization, and modernization of core systems.

These positions will support clients with data migration, data governance, data modernization, data management, data quality, and analytics , helping drive transformation from planning through execution.

Data Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current-state system architectures across business data environments, including BI/DWH, Data Lakes, and other data platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Design data migration and data harmonization strategies.
• Lead assigned workstreams within data migration and data governance implementation projects.
• Lead the development of proposal materials in response to RFIs and RFPs.
• Collaborate with key client stakeholders, including IT and business teams, to gather requirements and facilitate alignment and decision-making.
• Develop executive-level presentations, proposals, and reports to support business and project decisions.
• Act as a bridge between clients and implementation teams, translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Drive client-facing data consulting engagements.
• Support project delivery, business development, and pre-sales activities.

Required Qualifications

• Native-level Japanese proficiency or JLPT N1 equivalent.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in system architecture design , including business data systems and enterprise application packages across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Approximately 3+ years of consulting experience , including preparation of client-facing proposals, reports, and decision-making documents.
• Experience leading the development of RFI/RFP response proposals.
• One of the following certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience with data platform technologies:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate

SnowPro Associate: Platform

Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate (1Z0-071)

Practical experience in at least one of the following:

Data Migration

Data Modernization

Data Governance

Data Management

Preferred Qualifications

PM/PMO project experience.

Professional experience working in English with overseas product teams or global offices.

SAP-related project experience, including SAP S/4HANA migration or ECC.

Ability to provide a confidentiality-compliant portfolio of previous deliverables.

Enterprise Data Consulting Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple implementation projects and proposal engagements, ensuring delivery quality.
• Own stakeholder management and consensus building with key client personnel, including IT departments, business units, and executive leadership.
• Lead the upstream design and decision-making process for migration, data cleansing, and governance strategies involving business data and enterprise applications across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Oversee RFI/RFP responses and develop proposal strategies.
• Manage communication between product implementation teams and clients, ensuring accurate translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop standardized implementation approaches and methodologies tailored to the Japanese market.
• Support ongoing project delivery as well as pre-sales and proposal activities for new opportunities and subsequent project phases.
• Mentor team members and support resource allocation and staffing activities.

Required Qualifications

• Native-level Japanese proficiency or JLPT N1 equivalent.
• Approximately 10+ years of experience designing system architectures involving business data and enterprise applications across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Approximately 5+ years of consulting experience , including preparation of client-facing proposals, reports, and executive decision-making presentations.
• Proven experience leading the development of RFI/RFP response proposals.
• One of the following certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience:
• SnowPro Core (COF-C03)
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
• AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300)
• SnowPro Advanced: Architect
• SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer (DEA-C02)
• AWS Certified Database – Specialty (DBS-C01)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a PM or PMO leading multiple teams and large-scale projects.
• Business-level English experience, particularly in collaboration with global product teams and overseas offices.
• Experience with SAP-related projects, including SAP S/4HANA migration and SAP ECC.
• Experience launching new services/practices or establishing standardized methodologies.
• Ability to provide a confidentiality-compliant portfolio showcasing previous deliverables and presentation materials.
