Data Control Clerk

Responsibilities

• Post sales and purchase invoices, receipts, payments, and assigned journals in QuickBooks daily.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records with no backlog.
• File accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash documents promptly.
• Maintain a filing tracker and ensure documents are filed within 1–2 days.
• Assist with invoicing, payment follow-ups, and accounts receivable aging schedules.
• Track daily progressive invoices from Operations and follow up on missing invoices.
• Prepare daily summaries of pending and completed invoices.
• Provide backup support for payroll and senior accounts functions.
• Perform other duties assigned within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 CXC passes, including Mathematics and English.
• Certificate/Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
• CAT Certificate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Data entry and database management skills.
• Basic knowledge of financial records, invoicing, billing, payroll, or ledger systems.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
