Data Controller and Analyst

Job Overview

Responsible for keeping company data accurate and making sense of it, across purchasing, inventory, sales, ad performance, and customer reviews for all brands. The daily focus is making sure the numbers the business relies on are correct; the weekly focus is explaining what they mean. The role also helps build how data is tracked, so the process gets faster and catches its own mistakes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Oversight & Cost Monitoring

• Keep raw material and operational records up to date
• Check purchasing and sales data for accuracy and consistency
• Watch cost trends and gross margin
• Compare actual numbers against standards and explain the gaps
• Prepare reports for management

Document Review & Verification

• Review POs, invoices, and delivery documents
• Check pricing, quantities, and units
• Make sure supporting documents are complete and recorded
• Sort out discrepancies with Purchasing and Warehouse
• Keep digital and physical records organized

Sales & Purchasing Data Analysis

• Pull and review sales reports from the POS
• Cross-check sales against purchasing and inventory usage
• Watch stock movement and spot anything that doesn't add up
• Support stock reconciliation and data validation

Marketing & Customer Data

• Pull together data from the martech stack (Meta Ads, Grab Merchant, Google, and the rest) and the CRM
• Track ad spend and campaign results across brands
• Keep on top of customer reviews and ratings, and flag what stands out
• Keep marketing, sales, and cost data lined up so they can be read together

Data Systems & Automation

• Help design how we track data across every source so it comes out clean
• Set up checks that catch errors before they land in a report
• Use AI and automation to speed up the tracking, reporting, and error-spotting
• Cut down the manual work over time

Working With Other Teams

• Work with Marketing, Kitchen, Purchasing, Warehouse, Accounting, HR.
• Keep the data open and easy for others to use
• Give people numbers they can trust for reviews and planning
• Report to the Marketing lead

Qualifications

• Background in data control, documentation, or operational reporting
• Strong in Excel or Google Sheets
• Some SQL, JavaScript, and HTML, or keen to pick them up
• Power BI or similar is a plus
• Comfortable with POS and inventory systems
• Up for using AI tools to make the data work faster
• Sharp eye for detail and a head for analysis
• Good at coordinating and communicating
