We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Data Engineer - Associate to join our innovative data team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems that support our analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to facilitate efficient data ingestion from diverse sources such as cloud databases (AWS, Azure Data Lake), SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), and big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark).
• Design and maintain scalable data models and schemas using dimensional modeling techniques to support business intelligence tools like Looker and other analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust data solutions that enhance reporting capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Manage data integration processes using tools such as Informatica and Apache Hive to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Support the development of cloud-based data warehousing solutions by leveraging public cloud services including AWS, Azure Data Lake, and other cloud databases.
• Write efficient SQL queries, Python scripts, Bash shell scripts, and RESTful APIs to automate workflows and improve query management.
• Participate in Agile development cycles to continuously improve data infrastructure while adhering to best practices in software development and data engineering.
• Assist in model training and analysis tasks by preparing datasets that enable advanced analytics initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, pipelines, and processes for transparency and future scalability.

Experience

• Proven experience working with big data systems such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks in a cloud environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud-based options like Azure Data Lake or AWS Redshift.
• Hands-on experience designing data models using dimensional modeling principles for enterprise data warehouses or marts.
• Skilled in ETL pipeline development utilizing Informatica or equivalent tools for complex data integration tasks.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Shell scripting for automation and process optimization.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Looker or similar platforms for creating dashboards and reports.
• Understanding of cloud architectures involving AWS or Azure Public Cloud services for scalable storage and computing solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment while managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret large datasets for insights that inform strategic decisions.
