Data Engineer Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Develop and optimize data processing solutions using PySpark and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data transformation, integration, and analysis.
• Build and maintain data models and datasets to support Power BI reporting and analytics.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across various data sources.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and data quality.
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and business teams to deliver effective data solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering / Azure Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure data and analytics services.
• Good understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, and cloud-based data platforms.
