Data Engineer

About This Vacancy

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data flows and ETL processes.
• Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Optimizing and managing data storage solutions, including databases and data warehouses.
• Implementing data quality controls and ensuring data integrity.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and systems.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to the performance and reliability of data flows.
• Staying up to date on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our data infrastructure.

What We Expect From You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• You are fluent in English and French or Dutch
