Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

We're hiring a Data Engineer to join an ongoing client data pipeline project built on

SQL, Snowflake, and dbt. This is a full-time role with potential for long-term growth

based on performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data models using dbt (staging, intermediate, and mart layers)

• Write and optimize SQL queries against Snowflake, including joins, CTEs, and

window functions

• Design and implement dbt tests to ensure data quality and catch issues early

• Debug pipeline issues such as data freshness gaps, incremental load failures, and

performance bottlenecks

• Collaborate closely with a senior engineer on architecture decisions and code review

• Communicate clearly on progress, blockers, and technical trade-offs

Preferred candidate profile:

• 1-4 years of hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake

• Working experience with dbt models, tests, and project structure

• Strong SQL fundamentals: joins, CTEs, window functions, query optimization

• Ability to explain your technical reasoning clearly and defend your design choices

• Python knowledge for scripting or orchestration is a plus
