Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data Engineer (Talend ) to join our teams in Lisbon in a hybrid working model. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise data integration solutions, supporting critical operational and analytical processes. You will work closely with application, infrastructure, database, architecture, and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable data pipelines while ensuring production stability and operational excellence.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Talend ETL and data integration solutions supporting business and analytical requirements;
• Analyse existing data integration architectures, assess impacts of system changes, and implement enhancements to ensure reliability and scalability;
• Build and support integrations between databases, APIs, file-based interfaces, messaging platforms, and enterprise applications;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving continuous operational improvements;
• Create technical documentation, reusable frameworks, and best practices to improve standardisation, maintainability, and team autonomy.

What you are like:

• Proficient in Talend Data Integration / Talend Studio development and production support;
• Experienced in SQL, relational databases, and data integration architectures (ETL/ELT) ;
• Comfortable working with Linux/Unix environments , scripting, and file-based integrations including SFTP;
• Knowledgeable in job scheduling, monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis within production environments;
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD practices, and release management concepts ;
• Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Autonomous, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of solutions from analysis through implementation;
• Valued experience with Talend Administration Center, Kafka, GCP (BigQuery), hybrid cloud integrations, Terraform, data governance, and enterprise migration projects .
